Animal Kingdom, is a 2010 Australian crime thriller written and directed by David Michôd, and starring Guy Pearce, Ben Mendelsohn, Joel Edgerton and Luke Ford. Set in urban Australia's vicious underworld, the film follows the life and times of a criminal clan and is loosely inspired by the real events of the infamous Walsh Street police shootings that culminated in Melbourne, in 1988.

The movie was the recipient of the World Cinema dramatic Grand Jury prize at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
