Established in 1993, Animazoo is a young, creative and energetic
company made up of engineers and technicians with years of
experience in animation. As such we understand the issues our
customers face on a daily basis. Based in Brighton in the UK and
with a worldwide network of dealers and distributors we are focused
on delivering a product range and a level of service that
consistently exceeds expectations. The Gypsy system was first
shown at Siggraph in 1996, where it instantly caused a stir within
the industry due to its innovative and unique way of capturing
motion data. It was given the prestigious “Most Innovative” award
in 1997 by Computer Graphics World Magazine.
Animazoo have
attended every Siggraph show since the initial launch of the Gypsy,
and having quickly built a reputation for technical innovation,
have demonstrated breakthrough technological achievements year on
year. We are well known for our unorthodox exhibitor style. Our
actors roam freely around the exhibitor hall while being captured
and visualised in real time on our stand, demonstrating the huge
wireless range of our systems.
At Siggraph 2004 we demonstrated
the world's first 6 person simultaneous motion capture in real
time. No mean feat within our industry, and another in a long line
of ‘firsts’ delivered by Animazoo. We were the first company to
capture an actor walking from a studio out in to the street. The
first to capture actors driving vehicles, riding bicycles and
horses; the first to capture skateboarders and most recently the
first to capture a motorcyclist at 100mph at a radius of 1/2km away
from the receiver. A testament to the innovative approach we take
to providing solutions for our clients. We believe the marriage of
our cutting-edge technology and our commitment to complete, yet
personal service sets us apart.
Our client list includes some of
the world’s most prestigious universities - Warwick University,
Purdue, MIT, and the Yale Medical School - as well as game
developers, broadcasters and Industry - Kuju, Magenta Software, the
BBC and the Toyota Motor Corporation.
