From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anna Aguilar-Amat (born 1962, Barcelona) is a Catalan poet, translator and university professor.

She won the Carles Riba prize with her first published book: Trànsit entre dos vols (Traffic between two flights, 2001).

Shortly thereafter she published two other books of poetry: Musica i escorbut (2002) and Petrolier (Oil, 2003).

In 2002 she published Coses petites (Small Things), co-written with Francesc Parcerisas, and in 2006, Jocs de l’oca (Games of the goose).

Her poetry surprises with its radical authenticity, which manifests itself through a combination of narrative, lyricism and original imagery. <Diccionari de la Literatura Catalana, 2008>
