Anna Anka (born April 28, 1971 as Danuta Anna Åberg) is a Swedish-American[1] model, actress and author who is married to Canadian singer Paul Anka. Anka is featured in the Swedish documentary series Svenska Hollywoodfruar (Swedish Hollywood Wives), which received considerable attention with its first episode, primarily due to Anka's idiosyncratic attitudes and memorable one-liners,[2] coupled with an article penned by her for the Swedish online discussion site Newsmill.[3]

Anka is believed to have been born in Poland, although she claims she is not sure where she was born.[4] Her mother died when she was very young. Anka was adopted by a family in Bjuv, in the south Swedish countryside when she was three years old. She moved to the United States in 1993 after placing eighth in the international Miss Hawaiian Tropic pageant.[5] Anka became a professional model and six years later she was hired as the personal trainer of musician Paul Anka.[6] They soon started a relationship and got married in 2008, when she changed her surname from Åberg to Anka. They are currently living in Thousand Oaks, California, with their son Ethan and Elli, which is a daughter Anna has from a previous marriage. Anka is a housewife, which she describes as a "full-time job."[7]
Anka made a brief appearance in the American film Dumb and Dumber, credited as Anna Åberg. She had two lines, both in Swedish: Hej allihopa ("Hi everyone") and Hej då ("Bye").[8] She has also played minor roles in the films The Specialist and Drop Zone.[9] Anka has released a workout/training book called The 30-minute pregnancy workout book.[8]
Anna is believed to be former miss.sweden . Thats not totally true , she didnt even go to the final
In 2009, Anka became known to a wider public in the television show Svenska Hollywoodfruar where she was one of three Swedish women who had moved to Hollywood and become housewives. The program, which was shown on Swedish TV3, had high ratings,[10] and set a new viewer-record for a program made by TV3.[11] Paul Anka filed for divorce in December, 2009.[12][13]
On September 16, 2009, Anka was interviewed on Swedish news site, Newsmill,[14] in an article called "Jag vill bli en förebild för svenska kvinnor" (I want to be a role model for Swedish women").[15] The article described Swedish fathers as "tragic with their diaper changes and their equality" and Swedish women in general as shabby, petty, unintelligent and having lost touch with their natural femininity. A resounding appeal was made for the choice of a housewife lifestyle like Anka's own, and she affirmed her wish to become the role model that Sweden needed. In reality, as was soon found out and acknowledged by the publishers,[16] the piece had been ghost-written by site editors after a phone talk with Anka in order to increase attention. The article received more than 100 000 hits, a first for Newsmill,[14] and several responses, among others Nalin Pekgul.[17]
