Annabella Sciorra (born 20th March, 1960)[1] is an American film, television,[2] and stage actress.[3] Sciorra received an Independent Spirit Award nomination as best female lead for the 1989 film True Love,[4] and came to widespread attention in her co-lead role in Spike Lee's 1991 film Jungle Fever. She starred in the 1992 thriller The Hand That Rocks The Cradle,[5] and received critical acclaim for her work in Cop Land.[6] She received an Emmy nomination for her role as Gloria Trillo in the HBO series The Sopranos.[6]
Sciorra was born in Brooklyn, New York[1] to a fashion stylist mother and a veterinarian father.[7] Her father is of Italian and Cuban descent and her mother is of French descent.[7] She was raised in Brooklyn, New York.[1]
