AAC is held on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in early fall at the Radisson hotel in

History
Initial Planning
The first plans for Another Anime Convention was in 2005.
Most of the staff of OGC (Open Gaming Convention) a convention ran in the fall by Lisa Sussenberger, had been planning this for over a year before deciding to actually do it.
Chris Davis and Lisa Sussenberger went into a partnership using staff from OGC that were interested by the idea and bringing on new recruits to round about the ragtag team.
It was a learn as you go process.
Not everyone on staff had a particular interest for
anime, some were more into
video games,
role playing, and
card games, but what we did have in common was the desire to make AAC the best convention it could be.
The name came about when we were trying out ideas.
Different suggestions had been tossed about and It was thrown out as more or less a joke.
But, as it is what it is, the name stuck
As the Radisson hotel was already being used to host OGC (and it is the biggest area in NH) we decided the Radisson would be a perfect place for the fans and cosplayers to run about.
One of our first sponsors had been NeoTokyo, a cosplay and
comic store located in
Manchester, NH.
We also received sponsorship from
ADV and
Bandai.
The buzz for AAC started off slow.
Ads were arranged in the
Anime Boston program guide and flyer's were passed out at other nearby conventions such as
Otakon.
Word of mouth also helped to spread the news of our convention and when the time came for us to open our doors for the first time in
October 2006 we were over our estimated number of attendees.
