Ansoft Corporation is part of ANSYS, Inc. and develops Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software. The company was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; it was acquired by ANSYS on August 1, 2008. The Ansoft products add breadth and depth to the ANSYS portfolio of engineering simulation software tools, offering increased functionality, usability and interoperability.

The Ansoft group has several hundred people and distributes its products through offices around the world. Zoltan Cendes, a former Carnegie Mellon University professor and an IEEE fellow founded Ansoft.
