Anthony
Gargano (Commonly referred to as "
The
Cuz") is a
sports radio personality for 610
WIP in
Philadelphia. Airing from 10:00am until
3:00PM Eastern time, along with co-host
Steve Martorano. The
“Midday Show” is among the highest-rated among men in the market.
Anthony is friendly with many current and former Philadelphia
athletes, including
Ike
Reese and Jeremiah Trotter. He also remains friendly with
former co-host
Mike Missanelli. Gargano also co-hosts
Unnecessary roughness with Eagles Right Tackle Jon Runyan Monday
nights after games from the
Landmark Americana grill in
West Chester, PA.
The show was originally slated to be hosted with
Jeremiah Trotter
but the Eagles released him prior to the regular season starting.
Gargano is widely respected amongst the rabid
Philadelphia sports
fans.
Career
In addition to his success as a sports
radio and television host, Anthony Gargano, a South Philly native
and graduate of Temple University, is a former writer for the New
York Post and
The Philadelphia Inquirer. He has
also written several sports related books as
The Great Philadelphia Fan
Book and
A Sunday Pilgrimage.
Gargano is the
associate producer and co-writer of the screenplay for the movie
Our
Lady of Victory. The movie set in 1972 tells the true story of
Cathy Rush, the head basketball coach at Immaculata College who
leads her team to the first national championship in women's
basketball.
Pat
Croce is the executive producer and major investor of the
project, which has a budget of $8 million.
The Film is set for a
2008 release
