Anthony Bailey is a interfaith campaigner, philantropist and public relations consultant. He is a donor to the British Labour Party.

Education

Bailey was educated at The Douay Martyrs School in Ickenham, Middlesex and the University of London. He also hold diplomas from Budapest University of Economics in Hungary, and the University of Sofia and the University of Veliko Turnovo in Bulgaria.

Career

Anthony Bailey has worked in the public relations arena since 1991 holding posts suich as numerous posts including chairman of Eligo International (1997 ), Manning Selvage & Lee(1996), Program Manager of Management Communications at IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa(1995), and Senior Account Director of Burson-Marsteller (1991-1995).

Since 1999 Anthony Bailey has been Chairman of the Painting & Patronage - an artistic and cultural exhange programme between Europe and Saudi Arabia.

Political

Bailey is a supporter and member of the British Labour Party. He is also a major financial donor to the Party.

Anthony is also a member of the Party's Labour Finance and Industry Group and Chief Policy Adviser of the Party’s international think tank, the Foreign Policy Centre. He is known to be play an active role in the promotional of the Party's education, prison reform, inter-religious and community programmes.

Honours and Appointments

In August 2004 Pope John Paul II knighted Anthony Bailey and appointed him a Knight Commander of the Pontifical Order of Pope Saint Sylvester of the [[Holy See] in recognition of his interfaith work.

Grand Officer of the Order of Manuel Amador Guerrero awarded by President Mireya Moscoso of Panama for inter-religious contributions.

Knight Commander of the National Order of The Cedar awarded by President Emile Lahoud of Lebanon for inter-faith dialogue.

First Class with Collar grade of the Order of Unification - 22 May awarded by President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen for inter-faith dialogue.

First Class Grade of the Syrian Order of Outstanding Merit awarded by President Bashar al-Assad of Syria for inter-faith dialogue.

Knight Commander with Star of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George and Knight Commander of the Royal Order of Francis I awarded by The Duke of Castro.
