In his teens, Sullivan began working as a salesman in London. On a trip to Hawaii, he became involved with the group of entrepreneurs who were preparing to market the smart MOP via infomercials on American television, and was ultimately selected as the product's spokesperson. A talent scout later recruited him to be a pitchman for the Home Shopping Network. Sullivan left HSN in 1999 to form Sullivan Productions, his own direct marketing advertising firm.
Sullivan starred in a Discovery Channel reality series PitchMen, alongside the late Billy Mays. The show followed the selection of products by the firm in association with DRTV giant Telebrands, the origins of the products and their inventors, the production of the advertising, and told the stories of the two men's careers.[2]
Sullivan and Mays appeared on the June 23, 2009 episode of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.[3]
On June 28, when asked about the death of his friend Billy Mays, Sullivan tearfully responded: "I really loved him. I think it's a huge loss for the Tampa Bay community and, um, I don't really know what to do".[4]
During the special "Pitchman: A Tribute to Billy Mays" Sullivan broke down in tears as he talked about his former partner and best friend saying "I don't even want to try and pretend to fill Billy's shoes, he's my best friend, he's like a brother. Billy did burn twice as bright for half as long, and he did burn really bright. What's next for me is I have pull myself together, I have to pull the crew together, I gotta be strong and we gotta go on. You lit up my life. You lit up my life from the minute I met you, from the first time we worked together. I loved watching you work. I'm gonna miss you so much buddy. I'm gonna miss you saying 'Hi Billy Mays here!', You don't know how much I'm going to miss that. You're like a brother to me, man. I love you, rest in peace."

Born 11 February[citation needed] in the county of Devon, England, Anthony "Sully" Sullivan became passionate about demonstrating new problem solving inventions. Pitching products on the streets of London at a young age, Sully became the go-to guy for new products and developed a "Midas touch" street reputation that was second to none.
In the early 90's, infomercials were becoming the new powerhouse medium to sell products, and so Sully made his way to the US and teamed up with a manufacturing company to create what would be internationally known as the "Smart Mop." A few years later, Sully took that live on the Home Shopping Network (HSN).
In the mid 1990's, HSN hired Sully as a Prime-Time network show host. In 1998, Sully left HSN and formed Sullivan Productions in Tampa, Florida. With one goal in mind, to become the "new ideas" man, Sully began to bring exciting new products to people via television. As the founder and CEO of Sullivan Productions, Sully has produced and hosted some of the most-watched TV commercials in the world. Sullivan Productions gives new meaning to the phrase "As Seen on TV."

Following the death of Billy Mays, Sullivan became the main spokesperson for TeleBrands as well as the Mighty Corporation.
