Anti Terror Kampf is a self-defense system developed in Germany which mostly utilizes wrestling, joint locks and especially pressure points.

It can be roughly compared to Aikijutsu.

ATK is a radical and direct self-defence system. Based on nerve pressure presses in conjunction with shocking impacts, footwork and various leverage and choking techniques.

ATK is a pure self-defence system formulated to meet the modern social mentality and situations.

The techniques are direct, radical and reality/situation based.

The techniques are aimed at the various nerve/pressure points in application, they are designed to disable a potential aggressor, also utilising different leverages, impact, footwork and choking techniques in an emergency and render them unable to attack.

The experienced and trained ATK student is able to defend themselves against all kinds of attack, armed or unarmed.

The techniques of ATK can usually be accomplished without excessive expenditure of energy. Students train to be fast and accurate with their technique execution and develop ‘automatic reflex techniques’.

The criteria for the different techniques are that they have to be practical and effective.

In ATK you will train to a large extent with partners, you won’t be doing exaggerated acrobatic and arty stuff, because the ATK system is designed to be able to be used in any possible self-defence and dangerous situation effectively and fast.

ATK teaches armed defence/offence techniques too against a multitude of ‘cold’ and ‘hot’ weapons such as sticks, knives, bats, bottles, guns, etc. Along with improvised/expedient weapons.

The ATK system is different from other martial art disciplines e.g.: modern Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Judo, Karate, Kickboxing in that there is NO sporting aspect whatsoever. It does however utilise various techniques from different disciplines, taking the best and most effective ones and incorporating them into the ATK system.

The ATK system is very extensive, it is arranged so that it does not become one-sided concerning techniques, as mentioned we use wrist grabs, arm, shoulder, neck, spinal columns, leg and foot impact techniques, various nerve pressure strikes, defence and attack against and with weapons and footwork techniques as well as throws and holds. Attacks are practiced standing and on the ground.

Thus the ATK system is always evolving; as new techniques are devised we incorporate them into it.
