Anup Sinha (born
1983 in
England) has been involved in many
chess tournaments of significance.
His major achievements include being a winner in an
International Chess Congress in Hastings at the age of 18.
He has then gone on to compete against International and Grand Masters.
He marked his entry on the chess scene with victory in the Hastings Congress in September 2002.
He studied for his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from
Imperial College London and for Masters in Finance from
Birkbeck University of London.
<p>
One of his remarkable games was against
Jonathan Mestel, who then had 2486
FIDE rating points.
Jonathan Mestel was the
British Chess Champion in 1976, 1983 and 1988, and the World Chess Solving Championsh in 1997.
