Apa Sâmbetei is a Romanian expression generally meaning "for nothing", to no result, or that what you have done was destroyed or is rendered useless after you finish it. However the exact translation is "Saturday's waters". The most common form of usage is "S-a dus pe apa sâmbetei" ("It has been taken by Saturday's waters").
