Aqua Design Amano is a company placed in
Niigata Prefecture in Japan. It provides special high quality
aquascaping
equipment for the Nature Aquarium and Nature Biotope,
including artificial CO<sub>2</sub> addition tools and
high-quality glass tanks. The company was founded in 1992 by Takashi Amano with 10,000,000 JPY. It
publishes the monthly AQUA JOURNAL, as well as numerous books and
photo albums. In addition, Aqua Design Amano hosts nature aquarium
contests worldwide. These contests are named "The International
Aquatic Plants Layout Contest". Attendance at these contests has
been increasing, with 2006 seeing 959 entries from 36
countries.
