  • Aravind is an Indian given name for males. It is Sanskrit for "lotus", nelumbo nucifera. It is one of the names of the mythological character Krishna. Aravindāksha, "lotus-eyed", appears as the 347th name of the Vishnu sahasranama. The variant spelling Arvind is more popular in North India. Aravinda is an uncommon variant and Arvindh is very rare.
  • 'Aravindam' is one of five arrows of Kamadavan.
