Archers New Rival is a Rock/Hardcore/Screamo band from Orlando,Florida

History

With a reputation for excellence, Archer's New Rival based out of Orlando, FL is taking the South East region by storm! Archer's New Rival was formed early in 2005 by Matt Troy Jones (Inspector 42, Downhill From here), Daniel Stoner(Inspector 42, Downhill From Here, Neverending Struggle), and Drew Medieros(Split Cycle, Downhill From Here, the Culprits). With the vision of showing off their talent to the world they packed their stuff and moved out to Orlando, FL with intentions of forming the perfect group. In their minds, all they needed was a bass player, as Matt Troy was the only intended singer. They sought out the talent of Billy Hawkins (a good friend of Matt Troy's) to tear up the bass guitar. Archer's New Rival was finnaly formed.

One day at a band practice, a drunken Cesar Pentzke (Lefty's Boner, Next To Never) busted in and admired the band. He asked the singer (Matt Troy) if they knew any cover songs, the answer was yes, of course. So he proceeded to sing/scream along with the band all night long.

Impressed with Cesar's style Archer's New Rival invited him back as a permanent singer. They played their first show as ANR at a battle of the bands in Tampa, FL. They won their very first show hands down and completely blew away the competion! Now Archer's New Rival is quickly becoming a house hold name around Orlando, FL. They have recorded their first E.P. "Broken Arrows and Gunshot Wounds" at Automic Audio in Tampa, FL. Archer's New Rival is consistantly playing shows, not only in thier home town (Orlando, FL), but also all around the entire state of Florida, and will not stop until every inch of the state has witnessed their fury!
