Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company located in San Diego, California. The company is developing oral medications that target G-protein-coupled receptors. Currently none of the drugs is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, but several are in Phase I to III testing, namely (stand January 2009):

• Lorcaserin, Phase III , indication: obesity.
• APD791, Phase I, indication: arterial thrombosis.
• APD916, entering Phase I, indication: pulmonary hypertension.
• Niacin receptor antagonist, Phase I, indication: arteriosclerosis, (in conjunction with Merck)
• ADP597, Phase II, indication: diabetes type 2, (in conjunction with Ortho-McNeil-Janssen)
