Aristides Kollias (Albanian: Aristidh
Kola) was a lawyer, author and political activist in
Greece. An Arvanite from Thebes, he was the
president of Arvanitic League and editor of the
magazines Besa and Arvanon. He died in 2000.
Aristidh Kola dedicated his life and contributed toward Arvanites
and Albanian cause, emphasising that the “Greek to be called Greek
must prove his Arvanitic origin”, with extensive work and
references he proved that the original Hellenic population shares
with Arvanites and Albanians the same origin. His books were
published several time and are best seller in Greece specially
"Arvanites and the descent of the Greeks".He is treated as heroes
among his patriots. There are claimed that he was poisons with
radioactive substance, during an interview before he died he
declared himself that is being killed as they were killed before
several leaders of Arvanitic community.
