Film Biography

Armand is first introduced as Elena De le Vega's fiancé, meeting with Alejandro De le Vega at his party. This prompts Alejandro to hate him for the rest of the film. Later, after Alejandro fails to tell Elena about an explosion near Armand's home. Armand and Alejandro agree to a match of polo, in which one must knock their opponent off their horse and hit the other's ball into a hoop. Armand wins the first blow and Alejandro wins the second. Armand decides to cheat, having one of his men break his pole. Just as he was about to kill Alejandro, he leaped off the horse, allowing the villain to win the game. During an evening which Elena is present, Zorro and Elena both reveal evidence that could incriminate Armand. Armand remains perfectly unaware of this.

Later, Alejandro is arrested by the Pinkertons and is told that Armand is a member of Orbis Unum, which intends to destroy America using some sort of adavanced weapon. Alejandro later escapes, and, along with Elena, discovers that he plans on using nitroglycerin as their latest weapon. Armand demonstrates the power of it by blasting a member who disliked the idea. Armand goes back to his mansion, in time to meet a just arrived Elena. He reveals that he knew about her being a spy by feeding her her carrier dead carrier pigeon. In shock, Elena discovers that he killed the Pinkertons also. He holds her hostage, along with Jaoquin, her son. Zorro attempts to destroy the train Armand was using to transport nitro to the Confedarate Army, but had to stop it once he discovered Elena and Jaoquin. Armand had Zorro revealed in front of his son. He then left him to be executed.

Zorro escaped and showed this to Armand by punching him through a window. As Armand was about to kill Jaoquin, Zorro broke into the car and entered a viscious sword fight, which took them from the passenger car to the tender and the front of the engine. The two lost their swords in the fight and fought with knives, which they both lost. Armand incapacitated Zorro and was about to kill him when Elena kicked it out of his hand. Zorro spotted a railblock at the end of the tracks and hooked him to the front of the train before leaving him on it. Armand died when the train plowed him into the giant pile of rails.
