The Arms of Coates refers to the coat of arms lawfully borne by a person bearing the surname Coates or Coats pursuant to a grant by an official heraldic authority in the United Kingdom, namely the College of Arms or the Court of the Lord Lyon.

In his publication, "Armorial Families - A Directory of Gentlemen of Coat Armour" (David and Charles Publishers, 1929), the British barrister and heraldist Arthur Charles Fox-Davies details the arms of several such persons, including:-
  • Sir Edward Feetham Coates, Baronet, (see Milnes Coates Baronets)
  • Sir Edward Clive Coates, Baronet
  • Sir William David Frederick Coates, Baronet of Haypark (see Coates Baronets)
  • Sir James Coats of Auchendrane, Baronet (arms granted 1869) (see Coats Baronets)
  • Sir Stuart Auchincloss Coats of Auchendrane

  • Since the date of the publication of Armorial Families, further grants or matriculations of arms have been made by the College of Arms and the Court of the Lord Lyon to persons bearing the family name Coates, resident both in the United Kingdom as well as the British Commonwealth.
