  1. Arrondissement of Bar-sur-Aube, (subprefecture: Bar-sur-Aube) with 5 cantons and 104 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 31,979 in 1990, and was 30,396 in 1999, a decrease of 4.95%.
  2. Arrondissement of Nogent-sur-Seine, (subprefecture: Nogent-sur-Seine) with 6 cantons and 82 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 50,584 in 1990, and was 51,441 in 1999, an increase of 1.69%.
  3. Arrondissement of Troyes, (prefecture of the Aube department: Troyes) with 22 cantons and 247 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 206,644 in 1990, and was 210,294 in 1999, an increase of 1.77%.
