Arusha School is a government school in Arusha, Tanzania. Originally the school was opened in 1934 as a private co-educational school for European children but in 1972 it was taken over by the government. The school educates students from Nursery to Primary 7 and is both a boarding school and day school.[1] There are 491 day students and 283 boarders. The tuition for day students is 380,000 Tanzanian shillings per year, (approximately $300) and boarders pay 700,000 shillings per year ($560). The Arusha School has many needs including renovation of infrastructures such as sewage and electrical as well as classroom space for science laboratories, music and art. The school also would like to add a junior library room.
