Asher Tarivona Mutsengi (1983-) Zimbabwean, student activist,political writer, agriculturalist,and graphic designer.

Was an adherent of nonviolence philosophies while in college. He studied at Solusi University and the University of Texas at Austin. A student leader in college he spoke out against engaging violence to resolve issues during a period when students in Zimbabwe were resorting to violent street demonstrations to lobby the then Zimbabwean government led by Robert Mugabe to address student grievances and correct a deteriorating political and economic situation.

He was noted for his mushroom research in which he sought to determine the relationship between the Pileus size and harvest duration in Oyster mushrooms and coined the term Pileus Area Index to denote the size of the Pileus. He was an avid supporter of Allan Savory 's concept of Holistic management.

A frequent commentator on human rights ,and political affairs. He wrote extensively on human rights, democracy, economics, gender and the empowerment of the youth and students.

An artist since childhood ,he later studied graphic design and He is known for his use of symbol, fantasy, and dreamlike situations. His vivid, frequently morbid imaginings and his interest in the grotesque can be seen in most of his work. His work has appeared in magazines , musical compact discs (CD) covers,and commercials.
