Hames presented three series of Bravo TV’s "Sin Cities", two fifteen-part, and one ten-part series about international sex and sexuality.
"Man's Work" [1], was also presented by Hames, a show about dangerous and difficult employment. In one programme, for example, he trained with the Colombian anti-narcotics police. He apologized to Major Fernando Buuitrago, the officer who trained him, about his taking drugs in the past after seeing the damage it has done to the police in Colombia.
He is also seen on Five as the co-host, along with Robert Llewellyn, in a ten part series called Top Trumps.
Prior to Sin Cities, his work included Bad Trip in 2000 (which he directed and presented), which dealt with his exploits in earlier life.
He has also filmed and edited a documentary about cocaine for Channel 4's launch of supplementary channel 4Later, as well as directing E4’s Posh Rock, a series about wealthy teenagers in Cornwall.
Hames is a player of poker, and currently commentates for PKR TV.[1] He is a member of Team PKR, a team of poker players gathered from the online poker website, PKR.com.
A book about his experiences filming Sin Cities - Sin Cities: Adventures of a Sex Reporter[2], was penned by Hames. A book accompanying a future show, 'Confessions of a Sex Reporter' is also being written.[3].
