Ask It Why was one of the most influential
Turkish bands of the
90's.
The band was formed in 1992 as "SAD" by Vedat Kiyici (guitars) and Ozan Aktuna
(drums). Influenced by European Metal and OI bands as well as
American bands such as DRI,
Dead
Kennedys, Slayer,
Bad Religion,
and others. They played traditional Hard Core, later on molded the
music into their culture, and sang songs in Turkish, being the
first one of their kind to do so.
