AstraNOS is another WebOS which focuses on communications and follows a star theme.
It was started by Varol Okan in April of 2007 and quickly added applications to its repository.
The underlying framework is using QooxDoo, a JavaScript widget set for the browser, and on the server side a simple LAMP stack.
Its simplicity and allows for an easy addition of new applications and customization of the desktop.
The Open Source nature allows every one to enhance the code and add features if required.
Applications
AstraNOS is a young project which is integrating new application at a rapid pace.
Current applications include Google, FCKEditor, ChaNT, AstraCalc, OnTrack (Satellite Tracker) and more.
