Astro Pictures is an independent
American film studio best known for short comedy sketches.
It was founded during 2006 in Lincoln, Nebraska and is currently operating out of

In 2007, Astro Pictures produced three fifteen-minute episodes of a TV series entitled
The Hour of Power, consisting of existing films as well as sketches made specifically for the show.
It was shown on Lincoln's

AstroPictures documentary
One week after AstroPictures left for Omaha friend and fellow film maker Chris Landreth directed and documentary entitled "What it takes, The AstroPictures story".
The Documentary chronicles the early beginnings of AstroPictures and their relationship with acclaimed arthouse director, Steve Landreth (no relation to Chris Landreth), but the Documentary's main focus is the heated competition at the Nebraska Independent Film Project's (NIFP) Middle of Nowhere Film Festival where they met cult film director Matt Cullinane.
The Documentary finishes off with an interview with BrendonPoe and Chase Dingle about upcoming projects, namely one with award winning news-anchorman, Mat Geiler.
