Aswath Venkataraman is the popular and creative
author of the book,
I
Have Read That Somewhere.
He is also an alumnus of
IIM
Bangalore and
RVCE. He is
also a self confessed "cheap guy" who prefers to ditch his friends
for 'spunky' girls. Ultimately though, he is in turn ditched by the
girls and he has nowhere to go.
He is currently posted in some
small village in the neighbourhood of Nagpur seling soaps and
detergents to the local womenfolk.
Early Life
Venkataraman was born in an obscure village in
Tamil Nadu. The god fearing
population of the village regarded this as an evil omen and
banished his family to darkest
Bihar. Venkataraman grew up in
Ranchi, now in
Jharkhand.
Venkataraman excelled in both
academics and sports, but the brutally competitive atmosphere of
Delhi Public School, where he was
enrolled ensured that this was not acknowledged. He lost his place
in the cricket team to Tuhin Garg, and remained unable to beat Ravi
Karthik academically. Ravi Karthik was to be his bete noire later
on in his life as well, though in matters quite
non-academic.
Venkataraman's achievements did not extend to
representing the school until he was thirteen, and participated in
the
Bournvita Quiz Contest.
