Atticus Shaffer (born June 19, 1998)^[1] is an American child actor best known for portraying Matty Newton in the 2009 supernatural horror-thriller film The Unborn. Atticus also appears as Brick Heck in the ABC comedy TV series, The Middle.

Personal life

Atticus Shaffer was born in Santa Clarita, California. He has an older brother who is 31. He is home-schooled and is a Boy Scout. He is a huge fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and enjoys going to tournaments with his father. Atticus is 3' 9" tall. His short stature is likely due in part to his having Osteogenesis imperfecta type IV. His mother Debbie also has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, but in her case Type I rather than IV.^[2][3]
