Origin
The Band was first put together
for a high school talent show called "Mr. Magnificent". The
original set up was Nathan Romans singing, Rhett Leavitt on Lead
Guitar, Tucker Beglan on Bass, and Joe Michael on Drums and robert
Lyday doing a quick guest singing spot. they preformed "Dream On"
by Aerosmith.
Later the structure of the band was changed when
they were asked to fill a time slot in the "Mrs. Magnificent"
talent show. Robert Lyday and Nathan Romans Performed "Guy Love"
acapella from the television series "scrubs". They then both
Co-sang the song "Island in the Sun" by Weezer with Rhett Leavitt
on Lead guitar, Joe Michael on Rhythm Guitar, Tucker Beglan on Bass
and Justin Juker playing drums. At both preformances they were a
hit. After these experiences they decided to start a band so
Robert, nathan, rhett, and tucker met at Robert Lyday's house and
decided on a name. They chose Censor All But Glory. It meant they
would eliminate everything from their lives that wouldn't help them
acheive their goals. Nathan and robert wrote their first song
"Starting" in about a day and then the rest of the band figured out
parts. They perfected it and two other songs they called "perfect
belief" and "Burn Daddy and the Sermon Brothers" but this was in
the middle of their Junior year and put the band aside until the
summer after when Robert called them and said he wanted to get
going again. So they met and worked on some new songs but without
much success and also lacking a bass player since tucker did not
want the job or have the required skill. They asked Rhett's younger
Brother derrick but he refused, not liking the Genre. Their friend
Brandon Hite was asked and accepted though he had no past
experience. He picked up the skills almost immediately. They then
decided on a new name "Audible Gasp" thinking it clever, also in
memory of their friend Joe Michael who had been forced to move away
Before finishing his senior Year. With not much success coming
Robert and Rhett met a few times with just them and made 3 new
songs which they felt were hits and up to their standards.
