Auggie (
Austin Brown) is the son of Nathaniel Brown and
Rebbie Jackson - the eldest child of the musical Jackson Family.
Born on
November 22,
1985, Auggie is the younger brother of
Stacee Brown (born
1971) and
Yashi Brown (born
1977) who make up the girl group called "Geneva".
A multi-instrumentalist, Austin Brown plays guitar, piano, drums, bass, and percussion.
His sound is described as combining both a modern and old-school feel.
Austin has, for the most part, stayed out of the spotlight during his childhood.
However, he did go on tour with his mother in the late 90’s and traveled along with
3T in Europe in 1997 during their Brotherhood tour.
Auggie played instruments during several showcases of Rebbie in The States in 1998, but did not make many appearances in video clips or shows like many of his cousins did.
He has since been working on his musical skills privately.
In 2004, he signed with
Midas Records, but changed labels in 2006 to
Interscope Records.
As of late, Austin has been writing and producing tracks with childhood friend Brandon Howard, son of
R&B vocalist Micky Howard, who has worked with
Missy Elliott and
Ginuwine.
His debut album is scheduled for release in 2007 on Interscope Records.
