Each week the boys take a light hearted look at all things technological, from new gadgets to software and everything in between.
Created by Glenn Goodman & Mark Saltzer who are long time mates and reside on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia.
Glenn was recognised by the Govenment of Queensland and the RSPCA in the late 1990s for his work that culminated in the Queensland Government amending legislation to allow officers of the RSPCA to enter private property to investigate reports of animal cruelty against caged birds.
[2113]and was made patron of the FNQALF (Far North Queensland Animal Liberation front) in 2002 and was suspected of organising raids on battery Emu egg farms in the Northern Territory, a claim that he vehemently denies.
However the unwelcome media attention paid to the farms led to their demise shortly after.
He has also set uo the Flighted Animal research Trust (FART) which aims to eradicate bird flu and other aviarian diseases.
Glenn is best known for his farting dog Nitro that interrupts the podcasts with its own brand of explosive humour.
Mark was involved with Microsoft in the early 80s and contributed to the develpoment of HTML language and worked with NASA
[2114] on software that is now succesfully incorporated in the Space Shuttle.
He is also a songwriter, composer and screen writer of the award winning animation film "Love Tricycle"
[2115]and has written a number of songs for Casey Barnes
[2116]Mark also has an Indie record label called The Secret Hub that is an outlet for original Australian Artists.
Mark is most famous for appearing on the last episode of the record breaking TV show ["Hey Hey its Saturday"]#REDIRECT
[2117]and his performance is often cited as the reason for the shows demise.
The podcast is created every friday night in the Secret Hub Studios on the Gold Coast and each episode lasts about an hour.
Aussietechhead is often the source of ground breaking rumours and features information contributed from a network of listeners from Australia, the US, the USSR, Mexico, Thailand, China and beyond.
Aussietechhead is a non commercial creation and is now in its 42nd week of podcasting.
Plans are afoot to have the podcast available as streaming video in 2008.
