The AutoMart.com website launched on October 1, 2004 and gained industry recognition through the popularity of its print counterpart, Auto Mart Magazine.
The AutoMart.com headquarters is based out of Norfolk, Virginia at their 7 story downtown office building.
History
AutoMart.com was owned and operated under a partnership between Landmark Communications and Trader Publishing Company for two years until a division was announced on March 16, 2006.
On September 12, 2006, Cox Enterprises formally announced the completion of the division of assets with Landmark from their partnership with Trader.
Cox ultimately assumed control of Trader Publishing's automobile-related publications, which included Auto Mart.
