Avon Jesseigh Rzeznik(pronounced Evan Jesse Reznik)was born on July 26 1987 in Los Angeles,California,U.S.A.
He is the only child of French-born model,photographer,designer,and all-round fashion entrepreneur Isabelle de La Rue and Canadian-born Christopher Rzeznik.In 1987,Christopher died of an accidental drug overdose a day before his son's birth.Avon was then raised by Gavin Leon(Isabelle's ex-boyfriend,lead vocalist of rock band Rhomboid,and founder of Azrael Records).Ironically,Gavin's middle name is Christopher.This resulted in speculation as to wether or not Gavin is Avon's real father.Isabelle has denied those rumors although Avon has said,"Gavin is my real father in every way except one which doesn't count.Christopher is just the sperm donor." In 1999,Isabelle married lawyer George Morgan.


Avon's passion for music began at an early age.The first song he ever sang was 'Jesus Loves Me' at age 2.He taught himself to play guitar,piano,and drums by age 10.In 2001,Avon was signed to independent Los Angeles-based label Azrael Records.Critics claimed he had no real talent and secured a deal purely based on his connections alone.It is a claim Gavin has fiercely refuted, saying,"I walked in on Avon one day playing the guitar and singing a song he wrote himself and was completely blown away.Here was this 13 year old kid with this incredible voice.I had to sign him."


Avon's debut album 'Suicidal Misfit' was released on June 4 2002.The album consisted of 13 tracks all co-written by Avon himself.He collaborated with labelmates Death's Door,Significant Other,and of course,Rhomboid.On May 25 2004,Avon went on to release 'To The Grave',his sophomore album.This time he worked with singer-songwriter Tyson Brody who helped co-write and produce some of the tracks on the album.Avon's third album 'Falling Into History' is scheduled for release this April 17.


To date,Avon Rzeznik is the youngest musician signed to Azrael Records.His music is a combination of pop rock,pop punk,emo,a little bit of country,and even church songs.His signature long blond hair,angry snarl,and layers of eye makeup fused with his music has made him one of the most unconventional artists of the 21st century.Avon loves acting and although he hasn't landed any roles,he plays different characters in his videos.He is also a model.


On September 13 2005,Avon married his boyfriend of four years Marshall Maida(lead vocalist of Death's Door........they met when Avon was first signed to Azrael) in a surprisingly traditional yet unconventional ceremony in California.Both of Avon's father figures, Gavin Leon and George Morgan,walked him down the aisle.

-The first song Avon wrote was called 'Can't Stop Thinking About You',something he described as a "cheesy cute" track about a teenage crush.The song never made it to any of his albums.

-Avon has 3 tattoos.

-He follows a vegetarian diet 90% of the time but sometimes eats meat in the form of sushi.

-He is the face of Scarlett Letters(a couture brand by longtime friend and desgner Carlton Scarlett).

-Avon has tried to kill himself 3 times.

-He cites Kurt Cobain and Gerard Way as his idols.

-His favorite word is 'fuck'.
