Awaz FM is currently
Scotland's first, and only "all year round" asian radio station.
Broadcasting throughout greater
Glasgow and worldwide on its website site, Radio Awaz delivers a broad range of programming and music that suits the needs of Glasgow's 22,000 asian community.
In 2005, Radio Awaz FM got a licence to keep broadcasting on 107.2FM for the next 5 years.
At present, Radio Awaz, has listening figures over 50000, and attracts some of the biggest celebrities as guests.
There are a host of popular shows which attract the biggest audiences and guests.
Most notably:
• Friday Drivetime (4-7pm) with Mani, Susheel and Sophia (Celebrity Guests, entertainment and more!)
• Tuesday Drivetime (4-7pm) with Tags, Mani and Susheel (Playing the latest and best Eastern and Western tunes)
• Desi 301 (Friday, 11pm-1am) with Bobby B & Jay Jagpal (The best in desi music with Scotlands top Asian DJ's)

"Awaz FM" is also an FM station in Pakistan, and though it is in a small town of Gujrat, it has a wider listernship than its Scotish namesake would ever have.
One simple reason is that it broadcasts in the local language while the Glasgow one is using a foreign language.
The frequency in Gujrat for Awaz FM is 105.
No decimal points here, which also helps.
