Aza Bataeva (Chechen: Аза Батаева) (born May 13, 1983 in Chechnya) is a Chechen pop singer.
Aza was born in the Chechen-Ingush ASSR to a family of servants. She attended High School No. 4 in the Urus-Martanovsky District, and as a child performed in numerous art performances, competitions, festivals, and concerts. She also sang in the vocal group "Zhayna" (Talisman) as a student.
Since the mid-1990s Aza's songs have been broadcast on Chechen television stations, and she has been living in Moscow since 2000. She graduated from the art school "Morning Star" in 2003.
Aza recently performed a duet with Russian pop singer Julian on her new album. She has also performed at clubs and concerts with other Russian artists. Aza has also toured throughout the Caucasus, Russia, and other countries of the CIS. She is a permanent member of various presentations, anniversaries, social and charitable activities.
