On May 2, 2002, during BBC China News, the breakdown caused
BBC China to switch to
BBC
Two and it remained on BBC Two for 7 days, causing problems and
by 22:00 on the 7th day of BBC China simulcasting with BBC Two, the
anchor of BBC Two apollogizes for the breakdown and
BBC News 24 was cancelled,
returning to the part of BBC China News. BBC losted $4'000 when BBC
China was fixed.

Merging to CBeebies 24 Hour Channel
By
March 15, 2007, BBC China was planned to be taken off air in order
to make room for the new CBeebies which would run 24 hours a day.
It would launch on radio on
August 28 2007, and television on
September 3 2007.
Started on Saint Patrick's day, BBC Chinese Television
would last for 6 months until the 24 hour CBeebies would
broadcasting.
