BBC Lifestyle is an international television channel offering inspiration for the home, family, food and life. The channel provides six key programming strands to entertain, engage and inspire viewers. Food: Serving up the best food and cookery shows with world-famous chefs promising enticing gastronomic journeys around the world; Home & Design offers expert advice and design knowledge to help viewers transform houses into perfect homes; Fashion & Style brings honest, practical advice and fashion tips from some of the world’s top style gurus; Health helps improve diet and nutrition with expert advice; Parenting provides child psychologists and advisors to help with busy or stressful family life; Personal Development helps enrich mental well-being and achieve inspiration in all aspects of life.

Launch dates

BBC Lifestyle first launched in Singapore on mio TV in July 2007. It is also available in Hong Kong on now TV, in Poland on the Cyfrowy Polsat digital satellite platform, where it launched in December 2007. On DStv in South Africa and on Orbit Showtime in the Arab World since September 2008. It has since also launched in the Scandinavian countries in November 2008 when it replaced BBC Prime on Canal Digital, Com Hem, Telia Digital-TV och FastTV.

On June 2009, citing the lack of viewership BBC terminated the right for Singtel's Mio TV to air BBC Lifestyle(CBeebies and Knowledge as well)[1] . BBC has since sourced Starhub as an alternative deal and starting on 1st August, BBC Lifestyle will be on channel 83 on Starhub TV
