Membership
----
To become a member of the clan, simply ask permission to become a trialist via the website.
When you have sucessfully been accepted as a trialist, you will undergo one month of scrutiny from clan superiors on your gaming skills, ability, communication skills, and your personality.
After one month, if you qualify, you will be awarded the rank of Private, and a full clan member status.
This status gives you access to all forums on the website.
All clan members must pay a £7.00 membership fee paid monthly which covers the costs of running the servers.
Trialists do not need to pay this fee until they qualify as a clan member (a unique feature of <|BdD|>).
Gaming and Communications
----
The clan regularly plays clan matches between other clans.
Matches can either be official or friendly.
The clan trains every Wednesday at 7pm and every Sunday at 6pm.
After training which usually lasts 1-2hours, a clan match will usually be played.
Senior clan members will usually lead training sessions, however any clan members may show any new tactics or positions that will benefit the clan during clan matches.
To communicate, the clan utilises a program called Teamspeak that allowes members to talk to each other using microphones.
Teamspeak can run while a player is actually playing the online game.
<|BdD|> uses Teamspeak during clan matches to notify other members of enemy positions, where they were killed in the game, enemy advancements and general information that will benefit the clan.
The clan imposes stringent rules on not "spamming" Teamspeak with unecessary talk that will prevent other players from hearing any genuine information.
Promotion and Points
----
The maximum rank that any member can achieve (other than Renegade and HandRelief) is Colonel.
<|BdD|> does not follow the actual rank system of the
British Army, but has taken influence from it.
The clan adopts a point system for promotion.
To achieve your next rank you must achieve the necessary number of points.
The points come under six categories:
Skill - Show improvement or a sustained high level of skill and tactics, either attacking or defensively.
Team Play - Showing an outstanding level of team play.
Following orders, working together with your comrades, using Teamspeak effectively.
Training Contribution - Making outstanding contributions that benefit the clans performance in matches.
Man of the Match - Producing an exceptional performance in a match.
Clan Improvement - Being polite, encouraging recruiting for the clan, being involved in website activities and generally promoting the spirit of the clan.
Inspiration and Motivation - Helping other clan members with problems.
Creating a motivating atmosphere and earning respect amongst the clan.
An example of a points promotion is as follows.
For a Private to attain the rank of Lance Corporal, they would need the following points: 7 Skill, 6 Team Play, 1 Training Contribution, 0 Man of the Match, 0 Clan Improvement, 0 Inspiration and Motivation.
Naturally as you climb the promotion ladder, the amount of points needed in each category increases.
The clan also has a Teamspeak points system.
Each member will be given 10 points to begin with.
Any abuse of Teamspeak will result in the reduction of Teamspeak points.
This can lead to promotion prevention (even if you have satisfied the number of points needed), or even demotion.
Promotion points may also be deducted for any rule breaking such as not turning up for clan matches when have specified that you could attend on the website.
Cheating is not tolerated.
Anyone member caught will be kicked out of the clan.
They cannot rejoin and their I.P. address will be added to the banned list.
This prevents them from using all <|BdD|> servers. Achievements and Medals
