Babbello is a social networking and blogging website for Australian teenagers and young adults. It was launched in August 2005. The site is inhabited primarily by teenages, and a majority of it's members are female. The site has received exposure due to magazine ads, reviews and cross promotions in Australia. The site currently has over 30,000 members <ref>Mashable!, [2088]. October 10, 2006.</ref>.

Personal Homespaces



Babbello members have access to a personal “homespace” where they can:
  • Post blogs
  • Create photo albums
  • Share personality, profile and mood with visitors
  • Share favourite links
  • Add top 10 lists
  • Review music, literature or films
  • Post their “Thought of the Day”
  • Choose wallpapers and themes
  • View detailed visitor statistics
  • Control who can see or reply to each page or folder


  • Popular homespaces are posted in the Babbello front page. Each week a homespace is awarded “featured” status, with featured member receiving a prize; usually an iPod or mobile phone.
