Baby and Brother was a television program that aired from 1999-2004 every other Friday on the BBT channel (Best Bayside Television, a Crescent City public access channel). It ran for four seasons, yet neither ended or was canceled. It can be assumed it is on hiatus, although this is unlikely due to the aging actors.
The show followed the adventures of infantile Baby, his self-proclaimed brother Chris (Brother), Baby's caring uncle Tim, his imbecilic half-uncle Cojiro, best friends Babianca and Bobo, his Pokèmon friends, and persistent enemies.

Plotline

In the midst of the Dark Ages, an evil sorceror had control of most of the world. The wizard, Merlin, created a being out of purity, goodness, and light to confront the menace. The newly created being delivered a surprise to Merlin, it was not a warrior of great measure, but merely an infant. Slightly skeptical, the wizard sent the baby to the lair of the sorceror, not expecting the consequences of his action. Instead of fighting the enemy, the baby unknowingly consumed him with light. The sorceror was destroyed, but, through a last-minute spell, locked the Baby inside an orange-sized ball. This contraption kept the baby from the rest of the world, but could be set upon the world by a person with sin tainting their soul. The sorceror assumed whoever opened the ball could bring the baby to evil and enslave the Earth.
Merlin knew the consequences of the spell, and would not let such an infant be used for darkness. The wizard set upon the ball yet another spell which would protect the baby from evil, but could still be opened by blackened souls. To ensure the safety of the ball, Merlin constructed a Temple on the undiscovered New World. Placing the ball onto a sacred altar, the wizard hoped that whoever found the ball would bring upon the world a pure force.
It was not until tens of centuries later that somebody found the Temple of Baby. The year was 1999 when the nameless man came upon the temple. It was in this year that strange creatures called Pokèmon were discovered in North America. The man (whose name was never given through the whole series) who discovered the Temple nestled upriver of a small Californian cottage happened to have a passionate dislike for infants. He, upon finding the temple, opened the Baby Ball to have the baby appear before him. "Baa be baa gaa," was the first coo of the baby. Disgusted, the man figured out a way of sealing the baby back in the ball (holding the ball in front of the baby) and threw it out on the river. Smiling to himself, he did not know that since he had unlocked the ball, anyone, good or evil, could open the ball, and bring the baby into the world again.
Downstream, in a small shack on the edge of an equally small forest, lived the young brethren Chris, Tim, and Cojiro. They lived in poverty, too far from a town or market to get resources, and too poor to pay if they were closer. Chris, the intelligent sixteen-year-old, collected fallen wood and branches for fire and repairs; Tim, the caring fourteen-year-old brother, fished and collected water. Cojiro, the dim-witted eighteen-year-old half-brother collected berries and "really shiny" rocks. After Tim caught a large rainbow trout in the river, Chris headed upriver to find branches and tinder for fire.
After walking for half a mile, but collecting very little, Chris decided to turn back and try a different route. Sighing, he disheartenedly turned back, spying a ball caught in a small build-up of sediment. Curious, Chris picked it up and brought it back to his brothers. Upon opening the ball and having the baby appear before them, the three brothers were immediately entranced by the infant before them. Testing the baby's communication, they learn that the baby strangely already knows most words. Chris believes that this particular baby could be the mystical child locked away in a ball centuries ago that he had read about. He decides to be the baby's surrogate Brother, who Baby responds to with "Butter!". Tim became the baby's uncle, yet wanted to be called merely Tim. Cojiro picked up the baby, who quickly wet himself. In a fit of rage, Cojiro cursed at the top of his lungs, to which the baby repeated jovially. Cojiro spanked the baby, who began to cry. "You idiotic fool!" came Chris' shout as he slapped Cojiro across the forehead. While Cojiro was sent to time-out by Tim, Baby revealed his name. To little surprise, his name was Baby.
The seasons continued with Baby gaining instant fame as the fabled infant who defeated the sorceror. He gained friends at his new school, such as Sarah and Bobo, and friendly Pokèmon like Meowth and Pikachu. Of course, Baby gained enemies as well. Many of these people were angered citizens, baby-haters, pyromaniacs, criminally insane, evil Pokèmon, and dark creatures. Most of these enemies continued to be nameless, but were given titles pertaining to their status to Baby. The machine-gun carrying, ammo-holding man who first released Baby from the Baby Ball was simply called Baby's First Owner. A wielder of powerful Pokèmon was named Mean Trainer, a daily harrasser of shopping Baby was Mean Townsman (or simply Townsman), angry schoolmate Jack, hyper-evolved SkullMewtwo, lab accident clones Evilbaby and Evilbro, genetic magician Evil Royfried (accidental combination of Vegas performers Sigifried and Roy), and the many gun-crazed dorks (Dork with Gun, Dork with Bigger Gun, Dork with Even Bigger Gun, Dork with the Golden Gun).

Seasons

The first season dealt with Baby's rise to fame and the development of the main enemies that would appear throughout the show. Baby would have crossovers with Jurassic Park, The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time, and other franchises through either coincidence or accidental manipulation of the space-time continuum. Baby began to have a romantic relationship with his schoolmate, Sarah, who would go on to have a child, Lily, as shown in later time-travelling episodes.

The second season was considered the worst season in the series. The producers admitted they were not trying their hardest on these episodes and merely writing down ridiculous ideas down on paper. The first episode introduced adopted Babbie, or Cousin Baby, to the series. Later episodes had ludicrous plotlines and enemies, and for these reasons was a Second Season: Director's Cut, made which took the place of the third season. In the director's cut, Jack, in the episode A Baby Christmas, became good after intervention with three spirits (Groucho Marx, George Washington, and Adolf Hitler) in the style of A Christmas Carol. In turn, Sarah, after having Baby meet her friend Babianca, went insane and became friends with the Mean Trainer. Baby and Babianca became friends.

The unfinished fourth season ended abruptly three episodes after Brother's invention of the Virtual Video Simulation, which would put Baby into any movie he chose. Spoofs of Mallrats, Spiderman, and Labyrinth followed in the next episodes (Mallbabies, Spiderbaby, and Lababyrinth). Unfortunately, the show ended for unknown reasons, and is not known if it will be continued.
