Backstage Technical Services is an Arts Society of Bath University Students Union, University of Bath. They provide theatrical and event technical support for the Students Union, ICIA, University and external clients.

Overview

Backstage Technical Services is one of the largest Student run technical groups among universities in the UK. Backstage was founded when the technical crew split off from the main students theater group and since then has rapidly expanded. They now provide technical support to major university and external events including the Snow and Summer Balls, Freshers Week, World Veterans Fencing Championship, Band on Your Campus...

Students Union & the University

Backstage Technical works closely with other societies within Bath University Students Union including Bath University Student Theater (BUST), Bath University Student Musical Society (BUSMS), Bath University Students Dance Society (BodySoc), Bath University Students Music Society (MusicSoc), Rag, and many more. Backstage also liaise closely with the Students Union Bars Department and Executive Committees.

The Institute of Contemporary Interdisciplary Arts (ICIA) present a mix of performances, exhibitions, talks, workshops and classes open to the general public alongside the student community.
