Badar Munir (
Pashto:بدر مونېر, is a popular
Pakistan Pollywood Actor who appears in Pollywood Films.
Badar Munir was born in a village near Sawat.
He was brought up in a religious environment as his father was the imam of the mosque.
His father wanted him to study, but he was not interested in going to school and completed only elementary education.
He was very fond of roaming about so he left for Karachi, where he did a lot of odd jobs.
After a while, he started driving a rickshaw.
One day he dropped a passenger to a film studio and he began doing petty jobs there.
Finally he got a job as a light man.
In 1970 a group decided to make a Pushto film.
Badar Munir was given a chance.
In his very first film, Yousaf Khan Sheer Bano, he was introduced as a hero with Yasmeen Khan as a heroine.
The film, which received a very good response, marked the beginning of the Pushto film industry.
Badar Munir signed for ten films and promoted Pushto films.
The Pushto film industry is around 23 years old, and no film is complete without him.
In the beginning he did only Pushto films because he spoke only Pushto.
In 1972 he worked for the first time in an Urdu film, Jahaan Baraf Girti Hai.
He has acted in many Urdu and Punjabi films, but when he did Dulhan Ek Raat Ki, he became well known all over Pakistan, and the film did record business.
After this he worked in Urdu films such as Dushmani, Cheekh, and Multan Khan.
The first Punjabi film he did was Teen Badshah.
He is well known as a action hero in Pushto films and does his own stunts.
Some of his films are platinum and golden jubilee films.
