Baghdad City Hall was designed as a winning competition entry by Hisham N.Ashkouri.
Though awarded in 1972, the building was completed in 1981 for the Government of Iraq as municipal offices, at a construction cost of approximately $54 Million.
It is unknown at this time if damage has been sustained on this building since the invasion of Baghdad.
