Bahram Hooshyar Yousefi, Tehran-based freelance architect &
architecture/design critic. Yousefi writes for a wide range of
design and consumer titles, is the author of several articles, and
frequently teaches and lectures. He is the writer of Art &
Architecture (the first Log of architecture in Persian) and the
founder and chief editor of the first architecure and urban news
agency in Persian&English and the first Persian weekly on
architecture.... He manages an Architecture Research Office at the
same time.
Yousefi was the editor of architectural page of
"Hamshahri Newspaper" (Tehran-Iran) and chief editor of "Daris"
(monthly on architecture) and "Dekorasion Dakheli" (monthly on
interior design), he used to be the editor of his page in Mehr
weekly, Rah-o-Sakhteman Monthly and Donyaye Eghtesad Newspaper
architectural service and etc.
Now he is member of AA of London
since 2003 and member of PRIZE COMMITTEE AND JURY: The Berkeley
University Prize Competition since 2002, funder member of Iranian
Architects Society, Iranian Construction Engineers Organization
(Tehran branch), Iran young Architects Association, etc.
He has
won some Prizes for criticism and architecture, Best known for his
radical style in CRITICISM and as the first person who start
architecture and urbanism CRITICISM as an independent part in
Persian (Iranian) Newspapers, his page name is Zibashahr (beautiful
city), for a long time was the only page of architecture in Persian
newspapers. He is going to establish the first Persian
Architectural Newspaper and TV/Radio network....
