About three miles (5 km) long, the Peninsula consists of all the contiguous land east of 45th Street. Most of the business is concentrated along Balboa Boulevard where it meets Pacific Coast Highway, McFadden Place, and Main Street. The peninsula acts as a jetty enclosing the Newport Harbor and its islands.
Historical buildings include Balboa Pavilion (established 1906), the Balboa Theater (established 1928), and the Balboa Inn (established 1929).[1]
