Encyclopedia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

BankLink is an accounting service used by more than 250,000 small businesses for their GST and end of year tax in Australia and New Zealand. BankLink is available to businesses through their accountants.

The BankLink service electronically delivers bank transaction data from participating banks directly to the accountant. BankLink software then automatically codes as many transactions as possible. The accountant can then find out from the client the nature of any uncoded transactions using any of BankLink's electronic reports.

BankLink offers business owners a very cost effective process for completing their own accounts. It is extremely accurate and fast, and provides the security that the accounts have been completed professionally.

BankLink started in business in 1986 and has expanded to being used by more than 1,200 accounting practices in New Zealand and 3,000 in Australia.

In 2009, BankLink launched a trial in the United Kingdom.

BankLink was recognised in the 2009 New Zealand International Business Awards offered by NZTE (New Zealand Trade and Enterprise) as the winner of the Most Innovative Approach to International Business.
