The
Banks Keyboard is designed to only use 9 keys, 8
letter keys and one space key. It is still under development, and
there are currently only the 26 letters and space.
The
Layout
Using the example of the home row on a QWERTY keyboard,
this would be how it might translate:
{| border="a"
|-
|h||m||
|| ||v|| || || || a
|-
| ||n||c|| ||p|| ||q|| || s

||o||d||g||j|| || || d

It is designed to
have the highest frequency letters "double letters" where you hit
the same key twice. It assumes that "j" is the easiest to press,
and "a" is the hardest. (Over 100's of keystrokes) The order from
there is "jfkdls;a"
For example:
"the" would be
"ffaajj"Practical Uses
On ever-decreasing sizes of
mobile devices, space is decreasing, and is needing less and less
buttons.
Can be used on a 10-keyed mobile phone.External
