Bardic Web is a service provider, as defined in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, specializing in the provision of forums for online roleplay and writing circles. Genres present on the site include Adventure, Erotica, Fantasy, History, Horror, Mystery, Romance and Science Fiction. These are supervised and managed by members of staff known as Muses and Demi-Muses.

Bardic Web offers both free and paid accounts for users. There are two levels of paid member, known as Journeyman Bard and MasterBard. Private writing boards, known as Scrolls, are available only to those at MasterBard level, although users below this level are able to access scrolls owned by MasterBards and write in those areas.

A Journeyman Bard subscription includes Character Blogs, the ability to create book and static pages, a Bardic Web Email Account and Multiple Character IDs (Limit of 50 character IDs).

A MasterBard subscription includes a personal Scroll (Writing Board), the ability to Create Private Groups the ability to Create Polls, Character Blogs, the ability to create book and static pages, Book management, Image uploading (10 MG of space), a Bardic Web Email Account and Multiple Character IDs (Limit of 100 character IDs).

History and Development

Originating in a group of writers that met originally at the SciFiVine and then at a variety of ezboard communities before moving to their current home, Bardic Web includes within its Scrolls both new and original ideas, as well as communities such as the Cagliostro that are seven years old and counting, which makes them amongst the oldest RP/Writing communities around with continuous activity.
