Barfield – a Sabena technics company – specializes
in aircraft maintenance repair overhaul and support. Services range
from component repair and overhaul, ground support test equipment
(GSTE), rotables and distribution, to airline programs. Barfield
has been in service for over 60 years.
Barfield (
[2070]provides repair solutions that
include “Full Support (Nose to Tail) Programs” for regional and
longer haul airlines, comprising narrow and wide body fleets.
Barfield also manufactures and distributes a full line of ground
support test equipment that includes Pitot-static, fuel quantity,
engine testers and cable tensiometers, while organizing LRU sales
and exchanges. Among its other capabilities, the company manages a
distribution network for six European OEMs.

History ==1945<br

Barfield Inc. entered the aviation industry leader as an
instrument and avionics facility in 1945 when James W. Barfield
first established the company in Miami, Florida.
1999<br />
A second site in Phoenix,
Arizona was established.
2001<br />
A
third site in Louisville, Kentucky was
established.
2003<br />
In May 2003,
Barfield was incorporated into EADS North America as EADS Sogerma
Barfield, Inc.
2007<br />
In January
2007, the Sabena technics company acquired Barfield from EADS.
Sabena technics
[2071] is part of the
TAT Group and owns two repair stations in the heart of Europe
(Brussels / Belgium and Dinard / France). Sabena technics offers
its civil clients, operators of regional, narrow and wide body
aircraft, services covering a large range of aircraft. Sabena
technics also extends its services to certain military aircraft and
to several special aircraft types, including the Canadair CL415 and
Tracker water bombers of the Civil Security.
